That's the important question of course. A typical car - let's say a petrol Ford Focus - might have an official emissions figure of 110g/CO2 per km. If it travels 10,000 miles per year you could offset the emissions for less than £20.

What's more, all your vehicles receive a 'Carbon Offset Disc' to display in the windscreen (like the old tax discs), and you'll be able to use the '100% Offset' badge on your emails and website. You will also receive a certificate from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) for the offsetting we have done on your behalf.

We only offset through the United Nations Carbon Offset Platform. This is a specialist portal provided by the UNFCCC (see above) that gives us access to global initiatives like hydro-electric, wind and solar power developments. Our investments help to fund these developments and thereby reduce the need for conventional carbon-producing power plants like coal, gas and oil.
